In the year 1947, in the caves of the Qumran desert, near the Dead Sea, one shepherd accidentally discovered some clay pots containing very old writings.
The scientific community soon realized that the texts had been written by people from the Jewish sect Essenes, about the year 300 B.C.,
Their discovery is considered to be among the most significant archaeological findingss in history, and were named 'the Dead Sea scrolls', or 'The Qumran scrolls'.
After decades of international efforts in translation of the material some unknown texts had appeared, and among them a collection of documents called - the 'Book of Enoch'.
The Book of Enoch speaks about angelic beings called Watchers, also mentioned in the Hebrew Book of Genesis.
According to the texts, the God untrusted the two hudred Watchers with the special duty to observe and record the activity of humankind.
However after a certain time, the fascination of the angels with the mortal woman led them astray from their celestial mandate, and they took them as theirs wifes.
Living with the humans, Watchers sought to impart forbidden arts and sciences as metallurgy, cosmetics, magic, astrology, divination.
The consequences of the Watchers action were profound. they not only disrupted the divine order but also sowed the seeds of corruption and violence on earth.
The Watchers in their attempt to enlighten humanity unwittingly unleashed chaos upon the world.
